Alexa Morgan is an experienced employment law advisor and litigator. She represents employers in state and federal courts, arbitration, and before administrative agencies such as the EEOC, CRD, and DLSE. Her litigation practice includes defending employers in wage and hour class actions, PAGA claims, and lawsuits involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination.

In addition to litigation, Ms. Morgan provides day-to-day counseling to employers on all aspects of employment law, including hiring and termination decisions, reductions-in-force, employee discipline, wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, and personnel policies.

Ms. Morgan drafts and negotiates employment agreements, severance packages, employee handbooks, and trade secret/confidentiality agreements. She also conducts internal workplace investigations and advises employers on responding to employee misconduct.

She has extensive experience counseling federal contractors on affirmative action compliance, including preparing for and defending OFCCP audits and litigation, responding to agency inquiries, and evaluating disparity claims.

Ms. Morgan works with clients across diverse industries, including technology, retail, restaurants and bars, facility services, construction, manufacturing, and education.

Prior Experience
Prior to joining Hixson Nagatani LLP in 2025, Ms. Morgan was a founder and partner at Fox, Wang & Morgan P.C., where she practiced for 15 years. Before that, she was an associate at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP and at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP.

Educational Background
Ms. Morgan earned her J.D., cum laude, from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2004, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and served as an editor of the Santa Clara Law Review. She received her B.A. in Intensive Legal Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 1999.

Community Service
Ms. Morgan is active in the pro bono community, having successfully represented clients in employment, guardianship, unlawful detainer, and education-related matters.
