Alexa Morgan & Jay Wang Join Hixson Nagatani LLP As Partners

Hixson Nagatani LLP is pleased to announce that Alexa Morgan and Jay Wang have joined the firm as partners. Ms. Morgan and Mr. Wang are experienced, well-rounded employment lawyers who significantly expand the firm's expertise regarding recent changes involving federal executive orders and DEI initiatives, and our employer litigation defense capacities (including defense of class/representative action cases). Before joining Hixson Nagatani LLP, Ms. Morgan and Mr. Wang were founding partners of Fox, Wang & Morgan P.C., where they spent 15 years advising and representing employers in all aspects of employment law.

Prior to co-founding Fox, Wang & Morgan, Ms. Morgan practiced employment law at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. Ms. Morgan has extensive experience counseling employers on workplace compliance, employee discipline, terminations, reductions-in-force, accommodations, wage and hour issues, and drafting employment-related policies and agreements. She also regularly conducts internal workplace investigations and advises clients on appropriate responses to employee misconduct. In addition, she has deep expertise in affirmative action compliance, including defending federal contractors in OFCCP audits. Ms. Morgan also represents employers in litigation involving wage and hour class actions, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination claims in state and federal courts. She has worked with clients across a wide range of industries, including technology, retail, facility services, construction, manufacturing, and education. In addition to her practice, she is committed to pro bono work, having successfully represented clients in employment, guardianship, and education-related matters.

Mr. Wang also previously practiced employment law at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP and Fisher & Phillips LLP, where his practice focused on both employment advice and litigation. Mr. Wang has over 20 years experience defending employers in litigation and advising companies throughout the United States on HR policies, executive and severance agreements, trade secret issues, and wage-hour compliance. He has authored several published articles and blogs relating to labor and employment matters, and been a speaker and presenter for organizations such as the Santa Clara County Bar Association, the Labor and Employment Law Section of the California State Bar, the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Arizona State Bar, the National Employment Law Institute, the California Employer Advisory Council, various regional Industry Liaison Groups, and several trade organizations. He served as Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, as well as Chairman of the Professionalism Section of the Santa Clara County Bar Association. Mr. Wang has received the highest level of AV-Rating (Preeminent) from Martindale-Hubbell the last five years.
