Complimentary Virtual Legal Q&A Session: Employee Handbooks

You're invited to join a complimentary legal Q&A session that we’ll host on zoom to answer questions related to employee handbook policies. Questions for this program should pertain to employee-handbook-related topics of general interest to employers, such as information about changes in the law related to particular personnel policies, and legal requirements for particular types of policies. You can submit questions in the registration form (we'll cover those first), and/or raise your hand to ask them live during the zoom. 

This Q&A session will provide only general information about the law, and not legal advice (e.g., we cannot review or provide legal advice about an employer’s specific policies in this program). Companies or individual seeking legal advice should retain counsel.

This program will be limited to 50 registrants. Please allow 3 business days for confirmation of your registration request, and to receive the zoom invitation. Please note that HR and attorney continuing education credits are not available for this program.

The Q&A session will be led by attorneys Ray Hixson and Mary Wang who are partners of the law firm Hixson Nagatani LLP. Hixson Nagatani LLP advises and represents employers in a wide range of employment law matters. The firm provides advice and counsel on proactive steps that employers should take to ensure compliance and minimize legal risks, including with respect to creating and updating personnel policies and practices, personnel-related forms, risk assessment of contemplated personnel actions, and managers' legal training. The firm also defends employers against actual and threatened employee claims, including claims made in state and federal courts, arbitration, and government agencies.
